Condensate is a mixture of light liquid hydrocarbons, similar to a very light (high API) crude oil. It is typically separated out of a natural gas stream at the point of production (field separation) when the temperature and pressure of the gas is dropped to atmospheric conditions. Condensate is mostly composed What comes out of an oil field? Major Crude oil. (Texas tea, Black gold) Minor Gas (Natural gas, Methane). Condensate and natural gas liquids (only sometimes found in an oil field) Crude Oil Crude oil comes in a variety of colours and thicknesses. It may be black, it may be brown, it may be greenish. Natural gas condensate (condensate, gas condensate, natural gasoline) is a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids that are present as gaseous components in the raw natural gas produced from many natural gas fields. Gas condensate condenses out of the raw natural gas if the temperature is reduced to below the hydrocarbon dew point temperature of the raw gas. Condensates occur as gas under sub-surface reservoir conditions at high temperature and pressure. They are liquid hydrocarbons having very light crude oil composition. When brought to the surface for production, it condenses into a liquid with grades of colorless to light colored liquid having tints of red, blue or green.

If natural gas is also being transported in the same pipeline, the gas may be glycol dehydrated then mixed with the condensate to ensure a dry flow that

Oil and gas wells produce a mixture of hydrocarbon gas, condensate or oil; water with dissolved minerals, usually including a large amount of salt; other gases, including nitrogen, carbon dioxide (CO 2), and possibly hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S); and solids, including sand from the reservoir, dirt, scale, and corrosion products from the tubing. The purpose of oil and gas processing is to separate Trace (ppm) quantities may be found in the associated gas condensates. Most oilfield production chemicals (OFCs) are complex formulations of many different chemicals. Often the constituent chemicals themselves are not pure chemical species but a mixture of reaction products, reactants, and diluents. The pressure at which a gas condensate begins to separate into oil and gas in the subsurface is called the "dew point" or "saturation pressure (Psat)". This pressure is a function of the CGR but also of the mutual miscibility of the liquid and gas components. The most important factor is the composition of the liquids (condensate). Natural-gas condensate, also called natural gas liquids, is a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids that are present as gaseous components in the raw natural gas produced from many natural gas fields. Some gas species within the raw natural gas will condense to a liquid state if the temperature is reduced

Crude oil and natural gas are mixtures of hydrocarbons-chemical molecules that ranging from a heavy black oil on the right to a light condensate on the left.

1 Jan 1988 The model may be used successfully also for heavy oil mixtures. It is shown that deviations between the measured and calculated results often

Condensate is fluid at normal pressure and temperature. Continental shelf:

Table 1 provides a quick reference to common questions that can be answered with the use of oil and condensate analyses. However, chemical analysis data, such as provided by gas chromatography, must be integrated with geological, engineering, and wellsite information to make these interpretations .

The developed technique was tested on the hydrocarbon mixture of de-ethanized condensate and oil transported from northern oil and gas condensate fields via the main gas condensate line to the
