A timid, silvery, rabbit-sized, deer-like creature feared extinct for almost 30 years has been rediscovered. The Vietnamese mouse-deer, also called the silver-backed chevrotain, was captured on video in a forest in southern Vietnam. The area is ravaged* by poachers who catch animals in snares.
